In accordance with Senate Bill 115,funding may only assist eligible applications received by March 31, 2022, to pay for unpaid rent and/or utilities owed through March 31, 2022. Statewide Eviction protections do not cover non-payment of rent accrued after March 31, 2022. That means tenantsmust pay rent and utility bills accrued since April 1, 2022.
All of the funding that was previously allocated to the COVID-19 Housing Stability Assistance Program has been expended to help households with low income who have applied.
The program will continue to review applications in the order of program priorities and the date the application was submitted. If an application is chosen for a review to determine whether or not the applicant is eligible for help from the program, the review does not guarantee that the applicant will receive a payment for rent and/or utilities.
Whether or not an eligible household receives help from this program—or the type and amount of help they may receive—depends on eligibility, funding availability and program priorities.
